Delivery

Delivery of pieces like these is part of the work, not an afterthought. Larger and more fragile items are hand-delivered rather than sent by courier.

Charges are per order, shown again at checkout before you pay, and may be higher for a piece that needs two people or specialist handling — we will always agree that with you first.

Outside Kenya

We ship internationally by arrangement, including to diplomatic residences and hotel groups. Because carriage, insurance, duty and import formalities vary so much by destination, we quote these individually rather than publishing a rate. Speak to a curator with your destination and we will come back with a firm figure. Duties and import taxes in the destination country are the buyer's responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

How long it takes

Stock pieces normally leave us within two working days of payment clearing. [TO CONFIRM: delivery lead time for Nairobi and for the rest of Kenya.] Original artwork may take longer where it needs crating. Commissioned work runs to the timetable in its own agreement.

We will tell you when your order is on its way. If something is going to be late, we will tell you that too, rather than letting the date pass in silence.

On the day

Someone over 18 needs to be there to receive the delivery. Please make sure the piece will physically reach the room — stairwells, lifts and doorways are worth measuring for a large piece, and we are happy to check dimensions with you beforehand. If a delivery cannot be completed because no one is there or access is not possible, a second attempt may be charged.

Please check it before you sign

Inspect the piece before signing where you can, and keep the packaging until you are satisfied. Anything damaged in transit should be reported within 48 hours — see Returns and Cancellations.
