We would rather a piece went back than sat in a room it does not belong in. This explains how, and where the exceptions are.

Changing your mind

You may cancel an order for a stock piece within fourteen days of receiving it and return it for a refund. Tell us first, by email to info@jamarihomesltd.com, quoting your order reference. You then have a further fourteen days to get the piece back to us.

The condition it comes back in

The piece must be unused and in the condition you received it, with its original packaging. You may of course unpack and look at it — you would in a shop. If a piece comes back damaged, or with the packaging destroyed, we may reduce the refund to reflect that.

What cannot be returned

• Commissioned and made-to-order pieces, and anything personalised, because they cannot be resold.
• Original artwork that has been removed from its packaging, unless it is faulty or not as described. Please inspect it before unwrapping fully.
• Interior design and installation services already performed.

Getting it back to us

Within Nairobi we will normally collect. Elsewhere, return carriage is at your cost unless the piece is faulty or was not as described, in which case we pay. Please do not send fragile pieces by ordinary post: contact us and we will arrange suitable carriage. Until it reaches us the piece is your responsibility, so please obtain proof of postage.

Damaged in transit

Inspect your delivery before signing for it where you can. If a piece has been damaged in transit, tell us within 48 hours, with photographs of the piece and of the packaging. We will collect it at our cost and replace or refund it.

Your refund

We refund within fourteen days of receiving the piece back, or of your proof that you sent it, whichever is sooner. Refunds go to the method you paid with: to the M‑Pesa number that paid, or back to the card. We refund the original standard delivery charge too; if you chose a faster service we refund the standard rate only. Where a piece is faulty we refund the return carriage as well.
