The pieces we sell
We sell tableware and decorative pieces from stock, original heritage artwork, and commissioned interior work. Photographs are taken as faithfully as we can manage, but handmade and hand-finished pieces vary, and colour on a screen is never exactly colour in a room. Variation in glaze, grain and tone is a property of the work, not a fault.
Original artwork is unique. Where a piece is described as one of a kind, once it is sold we cannot supply another.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you an email confirming that the order has been accepted — not when you place it and not when payment is taken. If we cannot accept an order, for example because a piece has just been sold or because we cannot deliver to your address, we will tell you promptly and refund you in full.
Prices and currency
Prices are shown in Kenyan Shillings and may be displayed converted into other currencies for your convenience. The Shilling price is the contractual price. Converted figures are indicative, use a rate we update periodically, and your bank's rate on the day will differ. Prices include VAT where it applies and exclude delivery, which is shown separately before you pay.
We may correct an obvious pricing error before we accept your order. If we do, we will contact you and you may confirm at the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.
Payment
We accept M‑Pesa and card payment. Payment is taken in full before dispatch unless we have agreed otherwise in writing for a commission. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
Delivery
See Delivery. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes when we have received payment in full.
Cancellation and returns
See Returns and Cancellations. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2012.
Commissions and bespoke work
Commissioned interiors and made-to-order pieces are governed by a separate written agreement covering scope, stages, timing and payment. A deposit is normally required and is non-refundable once work has begun, because the work cannot be resold. Where those terms and these differ, the written agreement prevails.
If something is wrong
If a piece arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, tell us within seven days of delivery and we will collect it at our cost and replace, repair or refund it. Please keep the packaging until you are satisfied. This is in addition to your statutory rights.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Circumstances beyond our control
We are not liable for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such a delay becomes substantial you may cancel and we will refund what you have paid for anything undelivered.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.
